Power BI Dashboard: Smarter healthcare financial decisions
Project Overview
This project developed a Power BI dashboard for healthcare organizations to track sales performance against budgeted targets. It integrated data from an SQL Server database and used Python for advanced forecasting. The dashboard provides real-time, interactive visualizations, enabling stakeholders at all levels to analyze key financial and operational metrics easily.
Problem Statement
Healthcare finance teams struggled to compare actual sales with target budgets, especially with complex datasets. They needed a solution to track sales performance, forecast future trends, and provide interactive, real-time reports tailored for all organizational levels, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Implemented Solution

Extracted data from the SQL Server database containing actual sales and budget figures for healthcare products and services. Cleaned, transformed, and loaded the data into Power BI using best ETL practices for seamless integration.

Implemented Python scripts to develop accurate forecasting models based on historical healthcare sales data. These forecasts provided insights into future sales performance and budget planning. The Power BI dashboard featured Actual vs. Target Comparison for sales performance, Forecasting with Python projections, Budget Allocations for financial optimization, Drill-Down Functionality for detailed insights, and User Customization with filters for time, region, and customer levels.

Implemented Row-Level Security (RLS) to restrict data access based on user roles, ensuring a secure and personalized experience for healthcare teams.
Results
